Today wind energy farms are widely spread all over the world and produce significant amount of energy, one can see them in countries’ landscapes and in sea/ocean near the cost, where the energy is used.
Wind energy has also geographical distribution, depending on the wind intensity in the certain region and changes on season as well.
The question of transmitting the energy, generated by wind to the end consumer is very important at the moment and one of the reasons is the historical location of cities, towns and buildings in protected from the wind places.
Using the wind in low energy consumption units has several questions to be solved with modern technology of design and energy generation, as it strongly depends on the range of the wind intensity in the area.
The first of all we can speak about solar-wind energy harvesting, which constitutes the base of the lighting solutions. In our technology the power of urban wind can be used with the high efficiency and electricity production starts with wind speed from 0.5 m/sec, what is new and competitive solution for the market segment. As well our new invented generator can work with solar PV in the conditions of distributed light, so in our case the solar and wind component will give the constant energy flow on the maximum possible level in the regions/seasons with the active wind and sun radiation and will produce electricity in urban and distributed sun radiation areas, where the use of hybrid light units was difficult or not possible before. Combination of solar and wind harvesters provides the required reliability for different seasons with the changes in wind load and solar radiation intensity. The recent investigations and predictions in this area of energy generation confirm the hybrid solution efficiency.
Our solution involves hybrid solar-wind energy unit and inegrated design, where in the single mast generator, wind turbine and solar battery are united. The type of lamp is LED.
