Railway monitoring

Energy of vibration harvesters can be used in different environment, as urban life, as in the industrial applications. It is the solution for the transport companies, which operate transport routes. Our innovative instruments measure rails tild and vibration, following with data transmitting via GSM channels or to the passing trains monitoring equipment.

Increased risk of rail transport is associated with the widespread use of flammable materials, as well as the risk of cargo. Trains are always self-contained en route, often far from the places where it is possible to provide the necessary assistance in an accident or fire.  As well railway transport is strongly influenced by environment conditions and characteristics of the places, it is passing on the rout, such as mountains, rivers, seas and etc. For this reason wireless and independent sensor nodes are highly important as a party of safety and monitoring system.

Vibration energy harvesting attracts a lot of attention and is already practically implemented in wireless sensors nodes and for other innovative solutions. Small generator, which converts energy of vibration into the electricity, can work for the unlimited period of time. The principle of vibration energy harvesting is not new and is based on electromagnetic induction. Regarding power harvesting, electrical energy is produced from shaking and vibration. The electricity, produced by such generator is a few microwatts, but it is enough for required sensor operation.
